We offer as part of our services a Clinical Assessment of a defendant’s addiction particularly if they were under the influence of mood altering substances when arrested. Evaluations can be conducted to identify the treatment needs and history of the defendant along with referral to the appropriate agency in the community. Identification of substance abuse problems can be difficult for lay people to recognize and it behooves attorneys as well as family members of a recently charged defendant to clarify just what the issues are surrounding the arrest. These evaluations can be incorporated into larger reports or conducted singularly for a given court appearance or anticipated change of status in the criminal justice process. |
